Introduction: Zalman is known for it's extremely high quality, copper fin perfection, and ultra low-noise coolers. They make awide range of very unique products. If you've been around a bit, you can spot a Zalman product about 4 blocks away. Today I have for review one of the newer Cpu coolers named the Zalman 7000B-Cu LED. It's a twin to the 7000B-Cu, only adding the LED fan to this model. Do not confuse the "Cu" models with the "AlCu" models. "Cu" = All copper construction . "AlCu" = Aluminum/Copper contruction. Specs:
Packaging: As you can see the retail packaging is looks like pretty standard fare. What you can't see is the plethora of mounting hardware in the package. This unit is designed to mount on Intels Socket 478 and AMD sockets 462 / 754 / 939 / 940. That covers alot of users right there but would still appear to cover the AMD side of the fence a little more thoroughly. Lucky for me, I'll be mounting this beast to my new socket 939 X2 4400+ CPU. You'll also notice the Fan Mate 2 included with the item. I'm not going to be talking much about it as it's simply an inline fan controller and warning device. You have the option to use it or not. I did not use it. I do not believe in safety, only SPEED!$#! ( Plus I can plainly see my cpu hsf at all times). If I was burying the case under a desk somewhere, the Fan Mate 2 would certainly be an added precaution.
