Testing: Testing was done on my laptop using the USB port and HD Tach 3.0 for the testing software.
Now keep in mind that all the results will vary. I'm using a older HDD for
testing and the USB2.0 port. Others out there will have faster HDD's with SATA
or IDE, or a slower IDE HDD and SATA from the enclosure to the computer. Don't
forget about the dreaded USB1.0 connection to the computer. I'm just giving a
basic heads-up on the connection and speeds, so you're aware that the end user results will
vary. Conclusion: The VIZO Technology Luxon External HDD Enclosure is one well-made unit that comes with everything you need to get a 3.5" HDD mobile, from the aluminum cover to help dissipate heat to the aluminum stand to keep the unit scratch free. My only real concern about the Luxon is there are no vent holes for fresh air. Now, I understand that it's meant as a mobile unit and not to be running 24/7 like the HDD's in a system, but it still can get quite warm. Like I said, I'm just concerned about the possible heat buildup. You could make a modding project out of it: some vent holes in the top and micro fan mounted in the cover. Yeah, now you're talking!!! Oh... sorry, I got a little off track there. Umm, so where was I? Oh, yeah. With all the included cables and easy HDD installation, along with the fact that it's plug-and-play, you can't go wrong with the VIZO Technology Luxon External HDD Enclosure. It's sleek, it's sexy, and easy to use. What more can you ask for? I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to buy a 3.5" HDD enclosure. I would again like to thank VIZO for sending this unit to me for review. Be on the lookout for product #3 coming up in a week or two. Pros:
