Introduction

Look at any overclockers/modders PC and you'll probably find some kind of monitoring or control device in it. It could be a simple temperature LCD or a fancy character/graphical LCD and from simple switches to cool home-made fanbus/baybus system. While the system have all the power it needs from the overclocked hardwares in it and all the cooling from the gazillion fans in it, it is inevitable that sometimes, something will go wrong or give way and it is important that the user is warned before it happens. That's where the monitoring/control device comes into the picture. While many of the devices out there does the job and does it well, none does it in quite the style of the Vantec Nexus NXP-101 Multi-Function Panel that we're taking a look today. Vantec is well known for their line of heatsink-fans for the Intel and AMD platform, with many of their HSFs winning awards and praises for their stellar performance. But with the modding scene getting bigger everyday, they have now included other products aimed at this particular genre and the Nexus NXP-101 Multi-Function Panel is one of the many upcoming gadgets that we'll see from them.
