USB 2.0 Results Notice the two graphs are not set to the same scale. Also notice the average read speeds varied by only ~3 MB/s. Sandra reports that CPU Utilization as well as Random access timings are virtually identical.

Both Interfaces Compared

The USB interface is shown without the ER60A46A extension. Also - note the ~35 MB/s performance ceiling with the USB interface.

   Sandra offers more insight into various aspects - too many to mention. Note the 9 MB/s Drive Index difference and that USB 2.0 wildly outperforms ATA by about 78% in Average Access times. Note again the ~28 MB/s performance ceiling with the USB 2.0 interface with the exception of Buffered Reads.
