Analog Meter: When you see an analog meter on a digital computer, you might kind of say to yourself, "WTF is that thing doing on my computer?" Well, this little gauge can do a lot. To get the gauge up and running, first power is needed from the PSU, and then a free USB onboard connection is needed. Once the connections are made, download the software from the Tuniq website. When the software is installed, full control of the gauge is now in your hands. The Case Meter Software gives you the ability to choose from the following outputs: HDD space, CPU usage, RAM space, Page File space, Temperature, and Fan speed control. Changing from one option to another takes only a few simple clicks. The software also controls the backlight in the gauge, either On, Off, or a specific time you can choose. Also included is a thermal probe which ties into the analog gauge. Just place the probe in a desired location of your choice, and that's it.
Installation: Just a typical installation; nothing too fancy or too difficult about the install. All the hardware needed to install the motherboard is included. Tool less features on the drive bays and PCI slots make things a lot easier. Powering on the unit with the included fans, the case was quiet. Using the software for the analog meter was painless and adds a unique feel to the case. Conclusion: The only different thing about this case from most of the other ones is the analog gauge. Most of the rest of the included features on this case can be found just about anywhere else. The 2 piece aluminum door is nicely styled and ties in well with the analog gauge. Another nice touch is the easy access to the power button through the front door, so there is no need to open the door to power on the computer. Regarding the tool less PCI clips, some of the longer cards available can be difficult to lock into the motherboard. This a common problem with this type of setup, but with a little patience, it can be done. Considering this is a steel case, it is extremely light in weight. This is mostly due to the thin gauge of the metal. However, keep in mind that the thinness of the metal doesn't make this one of the stronger cases available. Pros:
