Thermalright XP-90C

Introduction:

Introducing the all new Copper XP-90C heat pipe cooler from ThermalRight. The ThermalRight XP-90C is compatible with either 80mm or 92mm fans. This means you can use a low volume fan for great cooling and low noise or a high volume fan for super high performance. The XP-90C also features an extremely efficient heat pipe technology for excellent heat dissipation.

When I saw this online I was not fully aware of its size because I have not seen its brother the regular XP-90. This thing is massive, but don’t let that scare you. This product definitely makes up for its size with the results so I hope you enjoy this article as much as I did writing it.

Contents:

First off I would like to show you what was provided to me. With the XP-90C I received a high volume 92mm Panaflo fan. Along with this I got some Arctic Silver, a fan grill, and of course some screws. The box that the heatsink came in was nothing special; it was just a normal cardboard box with "XP-90C" printed on it and the ThermalRight logo.

When you first open the box you will notice directions and a sticker. In the box you will find 2 brackets, one for Intel and one for AMD.

Also there are fan clips for 80mm and 92mm fans although I think that 92mm would be your best choice, they include the 80mm fan clips for anyone wanting to use one.

They also include rubber strips that are placed between the fan and the heatsink to cut down on vibration. Then there is the top bracket for the heatsink clips to clip into. All the necessary hardware is provided to complete this.

I had some issues with the backplate part of this which will be covered later in the review.

Now onto the specs...

  • Weight: 690g(wo/ fan) 810g(w/ fan)

  • Dimensions: 110mm x 125mm x 75mm (wo/ fan)

  • Fan Clips: 80mm or 92mm

  • Brackets: Intel or AMD
