Introduction: While Spire has been around for some time, they are a new company to me. When I was given the opportunity to review some AMD CPU coolers, I said yes... like I always do. This will be the second CPU cooler that I will be reviewing. Named the VertiCool II, this cooler is copper and aluminum with an UV reactive fan.
A Closer Look: The package for the VertiCool II was plain and simple; there wasn't even a picture of the product on the box, just a product number. So I popped open the box to get a look at this cooler. At first glance I was pleased with the looks, but looks aren't everything. The VertiCool II comes with mounting brackets that will allow it to be mounted to certain AMD and Intel motherboards. The construction of the VertiCool II consists of a copper base with 2 heat pipes bent in a U-shape, giving a total of 4 vertical pipes. The heat pipes push through 45 aluminum fins. The fan bracket is blue anodized aluminum that wraps around 3 sides of the cooler, and the fan that is attached is Spire's signature series UV reactant spider fan that is 80mm in size.
