Getting Inside

Like all premium cases, thumbscrews are used to secure the panels and also the motherboard tray. Removing the side panels requires the removal of 3 thumbscrews and once it's open, you'll immediately be greeted with the TJ03 Nimiz's mighty spacious interior, thanks to the 23" depth of the case. The interior is almost entirely made from 1.5mm thick aluminium with the exception of the motherboard tray, a support bar and the PSU bracket, which is made from stainless steel.

As you've already know, cooling is achieved with 4 fans situated at the front, back and top of the case. Even fan grills are provided for the interior to prevent any loose cablings to come into contact with the fan blades. The front 120mm fan also helps to cool your hard drives as well.

At the rear, you'll find the standard 7 expansion slots for you AGP/PCI Cards. I would've love to see thumbscrews being used on the expansion slots though and I think it should've been added into the case with the price the case is fetching. Wires for the USB/Firewire/Audio ports are neatly bundled together and a large U-shape bracket helps to hold your PSU in place. It also has a large opening underneath for those of us having a second fan in our PSUs.

Here you see the 6 x 5.25" drive bays with the bay covers held in place with screws. No railing systems here so your 5.25" devices should be secured with screws. At the bottom, 6 x 3.5" drive bays are present for your hard drives. Although it seems that the 120mm fan only covers the middle 4 bays for cooling so you might wanna plan your HDD placement for optimum cooling. Looking at the opposite side of the case, you'll find the stainless steel reinforcement bar. It's secured to the case at the top, bottom and also in the middle to provide added strength to the weaker overall aluminium structure. And true to it's high-end status, Hi-Fi type feets are used for the case to provide stability and ensures that the case stays put wheverer it's located.
