Introduction When we talk about the high end chassis market segment, names like Coolermaster, Lian Li, Soldam, Superflower, Chieftec, Chenming, Beantech etc comes to mind. These folks collectively have designed some of the most-used computer chassis in the world. They are used by not only the high rollers where money is no object, but also by the enthusiasts market at large for either their stylish and elegant design, excellent construction, available space and whatever reasons we can find to justify spending top dollars for them. Some have even been adopted as a standard case for the high end OEM markets, especially in the US and Europe. Although we've all been familiar with the companies above, a new start up in Taiwan named SilverstoneTek has quietly entered the market and making the other players and the PC users stand up and take note with their current product line and today we'll be taking a look at their current "STAR" case, the Temjin TJ03 Nimiz Case. I've only seen brochures of SilverstoneTek product line before this but still, I can't help noticing the uncanny resemblance their cases have with Coolermasters Line. Only after seeing the case in person and talking with Ciputra of VideoFusion that I realized that even for a start up, SilverstoneTek already has years of experience behind them with Engineers/Designers formerly from Coolermaster! I guess these designs must have been bottling up in their brains and only now bursting out to form what we see today in SilverstoneTek! OK, enough about that. Let's see what the Temjin TJ03 Nimiz Case has to offer! When I first got the package, I was surprise by this huge carton box that the case comes in! Although it's just the normal brown carton box, the images on the package was pretty cool too with the Temjin and sort of an eagle logos on it. Taking the case out of the box, I was greeted with this beast of a case, clad in shiny brushed aluminium from head to toe. It's not so much of the height or width of the case that impresses me most but rather the depth. Measuring a hefty 23" (59cm), it's able to accomodate even the huge dual-procs Extended ATX mobos. It's a good 4" deeper than the 3R Systems R101 case that I have (review on that case soon) and even the average enthusiasts will appreciate the extra space the depth creates. Let's take a look at the specs before we move on; Specifications
