Introduction: In today's world of computing a good keyboard is a necessity. Some are shaped, colored, and laid out differently than others, but most are a real problem in those late nights when you don't want to have a light on in your house but have to make that morning deadline. Enter the Revoltec Lightboard Advanced, which attempts to solve this computer-age problem of not having the light we need to see those keys we can never find in the dark. Features:

A closer look:
Revoltec really went out of their way to make this appealing to the customer. Not only did they do a great job on the artwork for the box, the Lightboard Advanced also comes fairly secured in its packaging, ensuring the experience with this keyboard is a good one. After opening the box we can see they also put a big emphasis on the design of the keyboard itself, making it very stylish. One thing I noticed right away was the general layout of the keyboard. It may take some getting used to if you used to the default keyboard layout (with the arrows separate from the right keypad).
Another cool feature of this keyboard are the ability to turn on/turn off the lighting on the keyboard. This could potentially come into play on those rainy days when the world goes dark and you need the extra lighting. The Lightboard Advanced also has numlock, capslock, and scroll lock indicators above the right keypad. Very neat if by mistake we accidentally hit the wrong key, or forget that we had that on during an earlier computing session. :) Testing:
A simple plug into the USB port and BAM, we have power! Windows auto-detects that the new hardware was plugged in and auto installs the software for it. No extra software necessary. Conclusion: Overall Revoltec's Lightboard Advance works as promised, solving the problem of not being able to find the right keys during the night. The lighting feature doesn't prove too useful during the day, so I found it best to turn it off to conserve power. The only problem I can see for most people is the layout itself, specifically the period of adjustment necessary to utilize this cool keyboard. As you can see, during the night it looks simply awesome, making it a cool addition to anyone's setup.
Revoltec products will be distributed through BlueGears very soon so keep an eye on them for availability updates! A big thank you to Revoltec & BlueGears for providing me this sample for review.
