Features:

The Fan-O-Matic Micro is a highly developed fan controller, controlled by a microprocessor. It regulates the adjustable voltage supplied to the fans by a temperature sensor. The desired temperature levels ranging from 20 to 50 (degrees celcius) are adjustable on the unit. The device can be adapted to the main application of water cooling (regulation of the radiator fan(s)) or air cooling (regulation of the CPU fan) through a jumper setting. The microprocessor recognizes a temperature through the temperature probe and determines how much cooling is actually necessary, then regulates the fan(s) accordingly.

The fan(s) can even be shut off completely if not needed, through a jumper setting also. The fan(s) turn as fast as need be, thus the computer is always as quiet as possible. The Micro also offers the possibility of flow monitoring in water cooled systems (with optional flow sensor).

Might I add that this device was designed for the Rev 2 version of Innovatek’s flow meter; later versions will work, but Rev 2 will provide the best accuracy since it has a jewel bearing.

The device also has an emergency shut down feature in event of an error. There are also spots for a power LED and error LED. The I-Bus channels on the Micro allow it to connect to the Fan-O-Matic Pro which allows you to program the values for the Micro.

Layout

Setting 1 = Air Cooling / Setting 2 = Water Cooling / Setting 3 = Set By The Fan-O-Matic Pro

Fan Connection

  • RPM's is controlled by the micro controller

  • StartBoost (1sec with higher voltage to start the fan spinning)

  • Fan channel can handle up to 12W

  • Analog voltage regulation, no PWM disturbances (quieter)

  • Power / Electrical short protection

  • Preconfigured rule-curves for fan control

  • Adjustable fan deactivation (switches the fan off if not required)

Temperature Sensor

  • Measuring range of 10 to 100 (degrees celcius)

  • The flat sensor can be attached almost anywhere

  • If the set limit is exceeded the following alarms are possible: Optional error LED or the computer can completly shut off

  • The Innovatek inline water temperature sensor will also work

Other

  • Can be configured to work with the Innovatek flow-meter rev. 2

  • The desired alarm temperature can be manually adjusted on the device

  • Free switch connection which will allow the PC to shut down in the event of an alarm (optional)

  • Connection of a power and error LED (direct connection of LED is possible)

  • I-Bus system to allow it to connect to the Fan-O-Matic Pro
