The D200 model is just one of the many rack mounts in the D-Series. Not to long ago, iStar came out with their next generation D2 Series that is even more attractive. The computer market evolves and naturally so does the needs of the professional series products they provide. In another 5 years, the D2 Series will pale in comparison to the newer products.

The plus side to this market is that the last generation hardware becomes increasingly cheaper. You don't necessarily have to have the latest and greatest of professional hardware when it comes to rack mounts since they are a 'behind the lines' support hardware that is more of a cost effective function. If you were a large Internet Service Provider who gives regular tours to potential investors and vendors, then aesthetics play a roll in the company's image.

  This rack mount was packed exceptionally well. There was a thick durable cover box with another box within. Any of the roughed edges or gouges didn't damage the inside box. They also packed it with hot glued foam squares to prevent any crushing. The case was wrapped in clean plastic. This procedure is a pleasant standard and it made me feel as though I got a quality product.
