Outside I'm going to start off with the front door of the case. There are actually 2 front doors, but I'm starting off with the primary first. The primary door consists of aluminum fins with a slight curve to them that creates a unique look when viewed from different angles. Also adding to the character of the fins are 6 blue LED's mounted within them, 3 point up and 3 point down. Incorporated into the primary door is the key lock assembly, and 2 keys are included. You can definitely feel the weight of this door when you open it. The weight of the door sits on pins rather than hinges. All the door and hinge pin pieces are made from metal. This will reduce the chance of the parts wearing out over time. On the inside of the door is the access to the power/reset buttons and the drive bays. The bezel is made from plastic, but it ties in really well with the case. The color matching is almost perfect. At the bottom of the bezel are some slits to allow fresh air to into the case body. There are 7 external bays: two @ 3.5" and five @ 5.25". Plenty of room for some toys.
What's behind door #2 Monty!?! Let's open up and see. What we have here is an easy way to access the external drive bays and to another security feature, plus the dust filter on the front case fan. The other security feature I'm referring to is for the side window. This knob rotates and moves a tab that locks the side panel in place. Another feature found on the case is the removable 3.5" bays. By removing the thumbscrew, the bay slides out allowing an easier install.
On to the window side panel of the case. A nice large window shows off the interior of the case, along with a Dragon logo on the bottom right of the window. The panel includes some air holes, but they probably won't be needed with the Alphacool setup. The top of the case is where two 120mm fans are located. These fans pull the air from outside, through the radiator and into the case. The way the fans are set up on the top of the case remind me of the fans on the top of a train engine... WOOWOO!! To get things stable, 4 case feet rotate out, giving the case a steady platform to sit on.
