140mm Blue Quad Led Fan Inside!

Introduction

Today I'll taking a look at one of the newest power supply variations on the market. The Super Flower SF-450SS 450W Silence Power Supply w/ 14cm LED Case Fan, as it's called, is a slight departure from the dual fan, triple fan, and even quad fan power supplies of late. This Super Flower TTGI SF-450TS has just one cooling fan built-in. That might not be so good if this one fan was a typical 80mm. It's not. It's a beastly 140mm! It's also fitted with 4 very bright blue led's .If you're only gonna have one fan, it better be big right? No problem here....Let's take a closer look.

When I opened the power supply box for the first time, I thought for a second that they only included the 140mm fan and forget to strap the power supply around it. it really is quite a sight to see practically nothing but fan on one side. It's not an ugly 140mm fan either. A cool blue ready to glow to life at the flick of a switch.

The unit was nicely identified with the typical performance chart labels and manufacturers specifications.

With todays day and age of multi-colored sleeving and psu's with every inch sleeved in a different color, this power supply stands out as a typical, old school, no frills workhorse. With only the main atx line sleeved in black ( with company logo ), and all the other 12v lines, etc not sleeved at all, it won't be garnering any second looks in that dept. However, power this bad boy on and it produces quite the light. More on that in a few minutes...
