be quiet! Dark Power Pro power supply

Introduction:

In today's crosshairs we have a couple of modular power supplies from a company called be quiet! That's right, I said BE QUIET! This is another new company to me and looking over their site, I've found they offer some really nice looking power supplies at many different price levels. be quiet! sent out 2 power supplies for review: the BQT P6 PRO750W and the BQT P6 PRO-850W. These units are identical in every way except for the 100W difference, which is spread out over several of the power rails. Also these power supplies have been Nvidia SLI and ATI CrossFire approved.

About the Company:

Outstanding quality. Always. Guaranteed.

It doesn’t matter, which PSU model of be quiet! you choose - you always get an outstanding quality and a lot of power. Trust the power supply specialist with a long experience in development and manufacturing.

We utilise innovative technologies and high-quality materials, to be able to guarantee the quality and workmanship of our products. That is how our power supplies provide an efficiency that exceeds 80% by far, as well as a reliability that makes it possible for us to grant a full 3 year warranty.

be quiet! power supplies are always characterized by an extremely low noise level. We believe that performance does not have to be loud. This assures you the possibility to concentrate on important things, while working with your computer.

The right power supply for all requirements.

The Straight Power series: If you look for mature technology and love extremely reliable operations, if you want sufficient output at any time and prefer a power supply with a compact design, then Straight Power is the product of choice. And all of this for an extremely fair price.

If cost is not a primary concern, then we recommend the Dark Power PRO series to you. Dark Power PRO sets the standard in the high-end market and captivates through its numerous innovations, especially its flexible and highly developed cable management system. Enjoy technical perfection and become a perfectionist with Dark Power PRO.

Like I mentioned in the introduction, these two power supplies are identical... even down to the packaging. The boxes are wrapped in clear plastic so you can tell if they have been tampered with. Each of the boxes have a picture of the modular power supply on the front and a cable breakdown on the back. The top of the box has a set of scary green eyes staring you down.

After opening up the top of the box you are greeted with another box. This box contains all the cables for the modular setup. Under this box is the modular Dark Power Pro PSU, wrapped in bubble wrap for extra protection. Cable ties are also included in several colors to help manage all the cables that are being used.
