I installed my trusty 17" widescreen HP notebook on this cooler and it handled it just fine. Sure it overhangs each side but the feet of the laptop itself are on the unit and it's very secure. Of course this is a beast of a notebook that I'm using it for and it still works. A smaller notebook will appear to fit even better, or more proportionately.

Powering up the Massive 23 CS was a breeze. Simply plug in the USB connection from the unit to your laptop and you're done. Then you have the ability to shut the unit on/off using the cable. You can also control the LED fan using the rear LED fan control on the unit itself. I've included a couple videos below of the LED fan cycling through it's colors.

Conclusion:

The Thermaltake Massive 23 CS is better than the Massive 23 ST in every way imaginable. The build is stronger. The LED Fan has numerous color choices and cycling options. The materials are better. If you've got a hot notebook (who doesn't, right?) than you'll want to be looking for a notebook cooler sooner or later. There is an abundance of options on the market today, but for a simple, effective and pleasing to the eye notebook cooler, you won't find a better option than the Thermaltake Massive 23 CS. The retail price is $59.99 but the cheapest I found it right now is Directron.com on sale for $49.99! Get it while it's on sale because it's $69.99 from most other places!
