Introduction:

Thermaltake Armor+ MX VH8000BWS Enclosure

It used to be that a high-performance chassis could only be found in the full-tower form factor category. Consumer demand has dramatically changed that reality. Earlier this year, Thermaltake introduced a chassis that has the versatility and performance characteristics of a full tower while physically being a smaller, more manageable package: the Armor+ MX. From Thermaltake: Armor+ MX: Beyond the past, Exceed the present, Surpass the competition.

Sounds like they expect a lot from their product line, which is not suprising coming from Thermaltake. They had created the Armor series to allow consumers to fully utilize advanced graphics technology. After the success of their Armor Plus series of chasses, Thermaltake engineers went to work on a new and improved version. The result is our next item up for review: the Thermaltake Armor+ MX VH8000BWS.

The Armor+ MX a middle tower chassis with countless advanced features. There’s a convertible top for refilling the coolant for your water cooling kit, and tool-less installation for everything from optical drives to hard drives to PCI’s. There is superior cable management, allowing the consumer to eliminate the cable cluster around components, along with multiple air intakes and exhaust to minimize recycling heated air inside the chassis.

The Armor+ MX also come with four removable 3.5” HDD trays, five 5.25” optical bays and seven expansion PCI slots – all equipped with the “tool-less” feature. Cooling capability includes an oversized 230mm side fan just to overcome your toasty graphic cards, while an 120mm blue LED fan in front cools off four HDD, and an 120mm high performance rear fan exhausts the heated air from within the chassis.

About Thermaltake:

Thermaltake Technology Co., Ltd. started its core business based on our extensive knowledge of PC thermal management during the era where the area of performance CPU cooling was only exclusive for "overclockers" or PC enthusiasts. With the company's initial launch of Orb coolers, it created waves of shocks and appraisals throughout the gaming and overclocking communities. Thermaltake quickly became the name gamers turn to when they need high-end and reliable thermal solutions.
