A Closer Look:

There are a few improvements that can help the system over some of their components that have come across the test bench. The water block is a whole new design, yet built with an interesting slimmer concept. Also, the radiator looks to have been improved in terms of fin and cooling capacity. Well vented radiators can really make or break a cooling block.

Front

Back

Inside the well packaged box was the 760i BigWater. It has to be protected due to the light weight aluminum radiator. Inside the box was basically everything one needs to install the system. There are brackets, screws, ring clamps, liquid coolant, squeeze bottle, tubing, and a nicely illustrated manual. The tubing is UV reactive which can be a cool thing if you like to show off your system. If you like the clear tubing, you'll need to pick some up from your local store, FrozenCPU, or Performance-PCs.

Top Half

Lower Half

The 760i is actually pretty well designed and built. The entire system is well protected inside a chrome 2U chassis that fits in two 5.25" bays. The radiator is cooled by a single 120mm fan and is secured inside the chrome chassis along with the water pump and reservoir. The fins of the radiator have been given "dimpled" louvers which help increase quicker dissipation of heat and keeps keep the water cooler.

Main Unit Top Side

Bottom Side

The Slim Water block offers a new feature that Thermaltake feels should be a big improvement over previous generation blocks. Rather following the thicker copper block designs, the block is designed to be very slim with redundant micro channels that are intended to remove as much heat as possible. The water is suppose to travel more slowly and thoroughly through the slim channels. So, it's safe to say that the pump is set to provide tuned speed and head.

Pre-Connected Block

Chrome Bracket

The block's base surface is very well polished. It's appearance is just short of a mirror polish which means they have machined the block for optimal heat transfer surface. This also keeps in tune with the block's overall polished appearance as well as the mounting brackets. If it's going to be shown off, it might as well look sweet too.

Very Slim Block

Ring Nut Barbs

In case you haven't noticed, the nice thing about this block is that the mounting bracket is already attached. All you need to worry about is which holes to use depending on the brand and socket processor your system is using. The barbs are also preinstalled and are the work horse style ring and nut barbs for maximum assurance that there'll be no leaks.

Base

Reflection

Something new to their 760i and 780e are the use of quick connect valves. They are white and come pre-connected on the ends of the black tubing that comes straight from the main unit. This makes working inside the system a bit easier as you'll see ahead. Let's install the unit.
