Intro: Today I will be reviewing the Thermaltake Swing VB 6000 case. This model is the VB6000BWS midtower case, just one of a series of 4 cases. The VB6000BWS is the black case with side panel window. They also offer black and silver cases with and without side windows. The Swing cases feature front panel connections and Piano finish. The Piano finish is a hi-gloss mirror finish. Features:
Specs: You can view all the specifications on the Thermaltake Swing Case here.
Packaging: The Thermaltake Swing arrived in the factory retail box with no signs of damage (thanks to UPS.) When taking the case from the box, the first thing I noticed was the protective plastic over the bezel and on the Plexiglas, inside and out. The plastic on the inside is a nice touch, because the box containing the screws and back plate for the motherboard had come open during shipping, so the potential was there for damaged or scratched Plexi. Outside: On the front, the bezel has the Piano finish, chrome trim, and an "S" shape design. The front bezel pulls off, allowing access to the dust filter and for installation of your 5.25" drives. The windowed panel has a recessed area for your hand so you can easily slide off the panel, and also has holes to allow air flow onto your CPU. The power LED is blue and the HDD activity LED is red.
