   Every now and then a product comes along that just makes you scratch your head and say "why didn't I think of that?". Today I have for you one such product by Starlight Creations called the LaTosta Laptop Stand. It's an incredibly simple concept that is executed about as good as one could hope for. However unlike most laptop/notebook stands/coolers, the LaTosta has no moving parts, no cooling fans, no plugs or cables and is completely portable. Let's take a look at the specifications.

   Yep, that's it folks. It doesn't get any simpler than this, but don't disregard this laptop stand just yet, what it lacks in fans and blinking LED's, it more than makes up for in function and portability. The two stainless steel brackets (if you can call them that) are super duty tough.

Installation:

   Installation doesn't get any simpler either. All you need to do is left each side of your laptop and place the LaTosta laptop stand brackets on each side, positioning them to sit correctly without hitting any keys and trying not to block any necessary side ports on your laptop.

   Once installed, this thing is rock solid! There is zero flex in the strong stainless steel arms ,and with the rubber tips on both ends of the arms, they grip perfectly on any hard and smooth surface. This setup would be ideal for a tabletop or countertop.

Conclusion:

   This may be the shortest review I've ever written but it's also one of the most useful items a laptop owner should have. The way this item is designed is just perfect. It's tiny, tough, inexpensive and can lengthen the life of your laptop by allowing it to breathe. Not to mention the perfect keyboard angle is created when this product is installed is great on the wrists.

I don't know about you guys, but when I travel and take my laptop with me, I hate to leave the comfort of my home setup when staying in hotels and have my laptop flat on some hotel room desk. This product would be absolutely perfect for traveling. With this product you can take it with it, it takes up practically no room in your suitcase, and it'll make using your laptop much better by increasing the keyboard angle from flat to a comfortable angle and also allowing your laptop to cool more efficiently.

So what's not to love? Nothing that I can find. At a price of just $12.95 w/free shipping, it's just too good to pass up. Each and every laptop owner out there should have one of these in their laptop bag, or even on their home laptop desk.
