Exterior:
The exterior of the TJ10 is made up of aluminum panels to help with weight reduction on this large enclosure. Now it's time to check out the bezel, which is broken down into two sections. The upper section has a door that swings out to the right side of the enclosure. Behind this door are four external 5.25" bays and one 3.5" external bay. The lower half has the power/reset switch, along with the power and hard drive activity LED.
The left and right side panels are identical, each with a mesh opening towards the lower front of the bezel. This is uncommon to most enclosures, along with the channel-type opening that goes from one side panel to the other, thus bisecting the enclosure. Maybe it's a peep hole that you look through to see if anyone is coming, since the case is so tall you can't see over it. No, actually it's an air intake tunnel for the PCI cards.
The rear of the TJ10 also has a few surprises, like eleven thumbscrews. Why on earth would an enclosure need so many thumbscrews? Well, three are for each side panel, and the remaining five are for the motherboard tray that slides out the back. The layout on the rear is the standard setup, except that the PSU opening is at the bottom of the enclosure. Also, back here are two openings with rubber grommets meant for water tubing; not like you need to mount anything on the outside with all the room on the inside.
Lastly is the top of the TJ10, which has a flip up box that houses the front panel connections: the standard audio plugs, two USB2, and one IEEE connection. Also up top is a large opening with a mesh panel. On the inside, this area can hold two 120mm fans for a top exhaust setup. << Intro & Specs | Installation & Conclusion >>
