Introduction:

PromoLocker Custom USB Drive

   Sure we've reviewed a ton of USB flash drives and other storage devices here at VH, dating all the way back to a slow and expensive (by todays standards) 64MB easydisk drive. Today I have for you one yet another USB flash drive but this one is a little different from the endless sea of thumb drives that are easy to misplace.

As the owner of a website, or any company for that matter, there's nothing cooler and more gratifying then seeing your name on a product. PromoLocker knows this and makes a living helping others make a living by getting their company name out there with usable and unique products.

What we will be looking at today is what PromoLocker calls their U29 - Lanyard Drive. This product, like their many many others is fully customizable with colors, logos and even text on the lanyard itself and is available in sizes from a measly 64MB all the way up to a hefty 8GB. Size Comparison

I thought a size comparison with a typical USB flash drive would be appropriate. I compared it against my trusty Kingston 8GB HyperX DataTraveler. As you can see, it's about half the size overall. There is no activity LED on this lanyard though, but it is more versatile so take that for what it is.

Conclusion:

   Performance was sufficient for this USB Lanyard Drive from PromoLocker. 8GB is a massive amount of storage in such a small physical device. It's versatility and customization options are the main selling points for this particular unit.
