Testing:

Since I'm a member of the media, PixelClean decided to send me a dead LCD screen (loaded with fingerprints) as a test panel for initial product testing. I thought that was a great addition to the media kit and really going above and beyond to showcase it's product to me.

Front w/Plastic Protector

Ever Seen the Back of your LCD?

If you've got a laptop computer, then you've got one of these in yours. It's very thin. It's very fragile and according to PixelClean, more than 3 million notebook users break their screen per year and everybody knows somebody that has broken their screen before (we'll be doing a notebook screen replacement article very soon).

This dead sample screen was littered with smudges and fingerprints and a perfect guinea pig to test the PixelClean LCD Screen Cleaner. I found it pretty impossible to capture it in pictures so you'll just have to take my word for it.

All Cleaned Up!

Well that easy. A couple squirts of the liquid onto the screen and a buff with the micro fiber, along with another quick buff with the dry end of the micro fiber cloth and it's like new again. Literally seconds and it removed all the bad and left it shining like new.

Needless to say I was impressed but not sold just yet. I needed to see what it would do to a real world LCD that has gotten lots of use over the past 18months and has never really been cleaned properly for fear of damaging it. I'm talking of my very own Dell 2005FPW 20" LCD. I've had what I thought was a finger abrasion right down the center of my screen. I was worried if I tried to clean it, I'd just make it worse. So I lived with it.

Well now it was do or die time since I received PixelClean. I was really hoping it would remove it, but even if it was some kind of permanent damage, at least I could clean the screen. Well once again a couple squirts directly onto my LCD monitor, a wet buff then dry buff and presto; it's like brand new! The big streak down the center of my monitor was gone, it was crystal clear(n) and I was once again impressed with the quality of the product. It delivered again.

Now for the final test; my wife's Dell Inspiron 6000 15.4" widescreen laptop LCD. Since my children use that laptop quite often, it was littered with fingerprints and smudges. It's also about 18months old and never been officially cleaned, only "dusted". I figured this would be the ultimate test for PixelClean. Well it turns out my dirty laptop screen was no match. A couple squirts and a buff and it was absolutely sparkling like new. That was the third screen I cleaned in a matter of 10mins and I was sold.

The Travel Packs:

Travel Cleaning Packs

Travel Pack Wet Applicator

Travel Pack Dry Buffing Towel

To make things even easier for the business man on the go PixelClean has the convenient travel cleaning packs that include both the wet and dry packets into one. No there is literally no excuse not to having a crisp clean notebook LCD, even on the go.

Conclusion:

The PixelClean perfectly filled the need for me to have a safe high quality cleaning kit for my delicate LCD monitors. Never again will I suffer with a smudged or dusty LCD screen. This kit was both professionally packaged, easy to use and priced affordably. For a retail price of just $19.95 for the deluxe kit , there is absolutely no reason that everyone reading this review on an LCD, or owns a laptop shouldn't own this product.

The "clean" that results from using this product was well above my expectations. Utilizing the perfect combination of specially formulated solvent, a high quality and lint free micro fiber buffing cloth, the screen seems to just glow without a single spec of dust remaining. PixelClean states that the formula repels dust and boy it sure looks like it. I wish I could capture this scenario in pictures, but you really can't. You have to see it first hand.

I highly recommend this product to everyone out there with an LCD monitor or TV or anything else on the list of compatible items for this cleaning kit. It worked flawlessly and gives me a better feeling that I'm taking good care of my investment (namely that expensive LCD screen). I don't say this very often but...Protect your investment and GO BUY THIS NOW! :)

A big thanks go out to PixelClean for not only sending in this kit for review, but also for going the extra mile in service and quality.
