Impressions: The
Alphacool NexXxoS Complete Set comes with three main water blocks that cool the
hottest processors in any typical system. The kits range from a single 12cm
radiator up to a triple 12cm radiator. Many other configurations are possible
depending on the reseller. These particular GPU and Chipset water blocks are aluminum and have very smooth, polished bottoms. Plenty of mounting hardware comes with each and the manuals don't look difficult to understand or follow. They are pretty heavy and have a very solid construction. The actual mounting bracket was already fastened to the Chipset block. There are way to many configurable possibilities with the VGA block, so the kit comes with a bare block and is left up to the user to attach the clip.
Other than these main components, you get manuals, water conditioner, and plenty of mounting kits to install the water blocks with. There are plenty of washers, springs, screws, and standoffs that will allow you to mix and match to any configuration. The CPU mounting clamps have been upgraded in that they were painted solid black as opposed to the smudged, brush metal seen in last kit. This particular kit includes the single 12cm NexXxos Extreme I Radiator, which has done pretty well keeping a system cool. The radiator looks pretty well manufactured and should . The pump itself is pretty impressive in that it is submerged within the reservoir. One nice thing about this is if the pump ever springs a leak around its outlets, it won't matter, where as an external kit could be detrimental to the health of your computer. There is a small power regulator that attaches to an empty PCI bay within the case that has your in and out holes for tubing, and also has a 12 volt power port as well as a manual hardwire connection point. This particular pump assembly requires the manual approach which is not hard as long as you have a small enough flat-head screw driver. The Eheim 600 Pump is very well made and of a good quality acrylic material. A PCI Pump Card is included which the powers the pump via the 12 volt, so that the pump can remain outside the case and is easily assembled. The pump is rated to 600 Liters an hour with a head maximum of 1.3 meters. There isn't much beyond this to get the pump going.
