Chipset Water Blocks
If you're an educated or avid user of water cooling, then you're probably
aware that every new core CPU release tends to be preceded and followed by a
flurry of new coolers, components, and peripherals that have been designed to
work best with the CPU. Often, more than one CPU cooler concept is roughly
manufactured and tested on a wide array of CPU cores with the results calculated
and recorded. Some concepts make it through while others don't even make it past
the first rough draft. The planning, time, and details put in to a CPU water
block can take months to finalize.
Koolance's CPU-300 has done very, very well in so many systems. Chances are that
users with this block will continue to use it for as long as it continues to
perform. The quality of the block is so good that it will undoubtedly out last
its system. The orange resin top was very cool when it first came out. The look
remained the same as other makers released flashier blocks. At that point,
Koolance then made a small change in the block tops replacing them with a smoky,
black top. Unfortunately, aside from the CPU-305, there hasn't been much in the
way of changes to the model.
Instead of making any more changes, Koolance opted to create something entirely
new and different which has kept them very busy designing, testing, and
revising. A new CPU cooler that has finally come full circle. Meet the new
Koolance CPU-330 Water Block. It has a whole new impressive look and design
intended to perform really well while impressing those who gaze upon its
reflection. But, wait! This review comes in the form of a double feature. That
same look and design comes in a brand new chipset water block dubbed the
CHC-120-V10. Allow me to show you a little bit more on the duo.

Overview
The rugged new Koolance CPU-330 provides ultra low temperatures in single or
multi-core configurations. Please select the desired nozzle type for this base
model (it does not include
nozzles).
A back plate maximizes heat transfer with precision contact. The CPU-330 also
features a universal mounting adapter and standard G1/4" threading in 1/4"
(6mm), 3/8" (10mm), and 1/2" (13mm) ID diameters. It supports most boards using
the following processors:

Overview
Put heatpipes to shame. The CHC-120-V10 is designed to provide high efficiency
liquid cooling for motherboard northbridge chipsets. Versatile mounting hardware
allows the CHC-120-V10 to cool almost all types of mainboards, or heat sources
up to approximately 120W. Materials are solid copper with 21k gold plating and
anodized aluminum top.
On certain motherboards, the CHC-120-V10 may conflict with PCI-Express cards if
placed on a southbridge chipset (due to the nozzles). This primarily depends on
the motherboard's location of the chipset, and where the CHC-120-V10 is mounted
in relation to the chipset and PCI-E card.
