Well, I'll say it just like I've said in my many recent memory reviews, installing these memory kits is just like installing any other memory kit. The only real thing you need to be aware of is installing them in the correct slots for dual channel mode. You can do that by simply consulting your motherboard manual, or even the manufacturers website.

In my particular situation, I'll be using the ASUS P5B Deluxe. I can put two sticks in the yellow slots, or two sticks in the black slots for correct dual channel operation using 2 sticks of memory. I could theoretically install all 4 sticks at once and run 4GB at 1150Mhz safely. You could also mix and match two 2GB kits, but honestly, I like to stick with identical brands and sizes.

When installing a completely new memory kit in a current PC, I also find it helpful to reset your CMOS before booting up for the first time with a completely different memory kit. Especially if you were currently in some strange overclocking mode when you last shut down. It will just might make your life easier, trust me. Some boards don't care, some boards won't even boot without resetting CMOS.

Once installed, It powered up without an issue and I hit the BIOS of the ASUS P5B Deluxe. I set the memory to 2.35v (2.4v in bios) and also the timings to 5-5-5-15. I also changed my memory divider and FSB settings in order to overclock up to a speed that will utilize 1150MHz DDR2 in the BIOS. That's one huge advantage of using this memory with this motherboard. It's got awesome memory divider options. That's the reason I'm testing this on my P5B machine and not my new ASUS Striker that doesn't seem to like to run memory above 1100MHz.

I then saved settings in the BIOS and restarted without a glitch. It's just that simple with this setup. Quality memory on a quality motherboard is the only way to go when trying to obtain super high performance (but then again my striker motherboard was $150 more and it won't do what this P5B deluxe can do....go figure).
