A Closer Look (cont`d): There is also color coded front panel connectors located on the board. Installation: Installing a Core 2 Duo CPU, 2x1GB of Kingston DDR2-800 and also an nVidia 8800GTS graphics card was painless and without issues. The SATA are close to the 8800GTS, but there were no conflicts. I can not be so sure if an 8800GTX would be so forgiving. BIOS:
The BIOS is fairly well laid out with most of the options I could see anyone wanting. Overclocking options are adequate but don't expect a high end full ATX style overclocking motherboard here. The options are there, but I wouldn't go maxing them out if you're looking for stability. I did some testing with the RAM voltage maxed out at 2.36v and I just couldn't keep it stable so there may be an issue with overclocking toward the higher end with this board. But that's to be expected. This is a m-ATX board with integrated graphics. Take it for what it is. FoxOne Software:
The FoxOne monitoring software included is a nice idea, but rather roughly implemented. It's a little rough around the edges but gets the job done for the most part. You'll have to be the judge on that for your own wants and needs. Live Update Software:
Foxconn includes a windows based BIOS (live) update utility so that you may easily update the BIOS right through windows. That is much easier than the old fashioned way that make most novice users shy away from possibly messing something up. Here you can update the BIOS through windows, just be sure to close all other programs and touch NOTHING while it's doing it's business, then reboot when it tells you. I've been updating my BIOS through windows for years without a single issue so I'd highly recommend such a program.
