Closer Look: I'd like to say how refreshing it is to see a new water block that takes a gamble by changing the color of the block. The Sapphire Block has a light colored blue block top with well machined, very smooth and polished edges. The copper base is also top notch and is well polished to mirror quality. Four hex bolts hold the base and the block cap on securely through the copper base. This method is almost always the cleanest method for attachment since it keeps the top from looking so busy. The internal copper base has a .50 mm matrix machined neatly in to a pattern that pretty much covers the entire surface area inside the block. Naturally, these pins help carry the heat farther up and out of the block's center for the cooler water to pass through. The copper matrix is neatly and well machined just as you would expect from a good quality water block. The finish of the copper block surface is extremely well polished to mirror quality. While not a hundred percent necessary, it does ensure maximum surface contact and looks excellent as well. Again, the presentation is great. The block comes stock set up for INTEL LGA 775 socketed processors. A chrome retention bracket primarily holds the Sapphire block in place and feels very sturdy. Polished brackets and mounting accessories always help in making a good presentation. It really isn't worth it to cut corners on the small items that users will see when installed. Too often we see something that looks like it came from a scrap metal heap. This is not what you'll get from EnzoTech. They really make sure the end product is well polished. The rest of the mounting hardware and accessories are top notch as well. The barbs appear to be made from good metal material and include the necessary rubber O ring already on them. The barbs are intended for 1/2" flow cooling systems, so one must keep that in mind when ordering the tubing. There aren't any extra smaller barbs included for smaller tubing systems, but options to get them may be in the works. Inside the accessories bags, there are four chrome torsion spring bolts, plenty of washers, four screws, nylon standoffs, and all the appropriate back plates needed for installation. << Intro & Specs | Installation & Testing >>
