ECS GF8200A AMD Motherboard |
With inflation (also sometimes called greed)
rampant driving prices up on just about everything from food to video games, we
can always use some good deals. It's also been a little tough finding the PC
components we want without spending too much extra these days. One important
component we tend to always need is and affordable motherboards.
While and Intel system is obviously the top performer of choice, there are those
who realistically don't need that much power and others who don't like spending
or can't afford the option. This where AMD based systems come in to play. Just
about every Computer vendor around offers an AMD laptop or desktop PC at much
lower prices which includes most of the processor line.
In order to get that really good deal, motherboard makers like ECS still offer
really good affordable motherboards. Sure, they tend to offer a few lesser
features like overclocking, but then budget users aren't typically looking to
overclock their systems. In fact, most the people I talk to are aiming for more
useable features and dependability over anything extreme.
So, rather than skimp on features, ECS has been providing their latest Black
Series affordable motherboards with many of those seen on more expensive
solutions. A while back, we had the pleasure of checking out the AM2+ supporting
A780GM-A Motherboard with the AMD 790 Chipset. While it encountered a few
glitches with random memory kits, it wasn't all bad results. Stability wasn't an
issue and there were decent integrated features.
Today, the
ECS GF8200A Motherboard featuring the Nvidia Geforce 8200 and MCP78S
Chipset, has finished the usual rounds of pummeling and testing to see if it's a
better solution than the last.
