LED's Fully Lit During A Benchmark!

Test Results:

   Among various testing sessions including hours and hours of Quake4, FEAR, and UT2004, I've also run the following benchmarks to give you some tangibles on the difference of these two models and what you'll get for your hard earned cash.

Corsair ValueSelect 2GBKIT400C3

Memory & Cache Test
Results =  5971MB/sec

Memory Bandwidth Test
Results = 4459MB/sec

Corsair TWINX2048-3500LLPRO

Memory & Cache Test
Results = 6457MB/sec!!

Memory Bandwidth Test
Results = 5542MB/sec!!

Conclusion:

    I've always liked Corsair, their products and the quality they produce. The new Corsair TWINX2048-3500LLPRO is no exception. Just holding it in the hand and you feel like it's made very well. Using it in a system only confirms the fact that this is some of the best memory in a 2 x 1GB configuration that you can buy today.

   Finding timings of 2-2-2-5-1T is easy with 2 x 512mb sticks..but not 2 x 1GB sticks. Corsair has gotten very close to the elusive timings with this kit and it's very fast and stable.

   Using the 1T versus 2T timing is really a boost in performance. You can see in the test results that these sticks have over a 1,000MB/sec advantage over the Value Ram. That's enough for me to begin to notice the tangible everyday enhancement of snappier program loads, and executions.

   Above and beyond the High Performance, High Quality Ram, you also have some very elegant LED's lined across the top of the modules. Using the Red, Yellow, Green configuration ( kinda like a stop light), they show off nice colors during even the most mundane usage and fully light and stay lit during gaming, benchmarks and other Ram intensive applications.

   Although the cost of the TWINX2048-3500LLPRO is substantially more than the ValueSelect modules of the same size, ( about $100 more for the 2GB Kit) their speed ( and yes, beauty) is certainly worth it if you're looking to add that something extra to your gaming or high performance rig.

   If you're just looking to web browse and check email, well, then you probably don't even need 2GB of Ram at all.

   However, if you're a gamer, or use your machine for heavy video, or Photoshop, you just can't say you have a "real" high performance rig using the "cheap" stuff. Get yourself 2GB of Corsair XMS Pro DDR and "see" the difference!

   I can highly recommend the TWINX2048-3500LLPRO for it's stability, compatibility, quality construction and good looks. Go Corsair, Get the best!
