Introduction: Corsair makes exceptional ram. That’s been my belief since I started building my own systems. I’ve had everything from their value ram, to the fastest ram offered at the time. Now that programs have gotten to the point where 1GB isn’t enough, 2GB is the standard for high end systems. It's an odd feeling to have 2GB of ram, on one hand "woot! Ram!" on the other hand "How in the name of Crom is windows using this much ram!!" Not much has changed when it comes to rams basics.
Shipping: I normally don't comment on how an item is shipped to me. As long as it arrives undamaged, I don't care. But getting a box big enough to hold a motherboard, and about twice that in volume of little pink packing peanuts, to hold 2 items that could be outsized by a dozen credit cards was mildly humourous. Specifications: Here’s what Corsair lists on their website for stats on the 2GB XMS4000PT. A single page pdf lists this for the stats.
It’s so nice to see a company keep it simple. What more really needs to be said about a set of ram? It works, we’ve tested it and we’re going to back it up as long as you own our stuff. Sounds good to me.
