Outside:
Starting with the front bezel, the Fusion is made up of aluminum and plastic, and sports a VFD and a volume control knob to work with media center applications. On the right side of the bezel is the VFD, and just below that is a single optical drive bay. Closer to the middle of the bezel are two USB ports and an IEEE Firewire port. On the left side of the bezel is the volume knob, and just below that are front panel audio connections, a white LED ring around the power button.
The top and sides of the Fusion panels are steel which is painted black. The left side panel has vent holes towards the rear by the power supply. Fresh air is brought in here for the power supply. The right side panel has two 120mm vent holes with two 120 TriCool fans mounted internally. Around the bezel and on top of the upper panel are some more vents holes; these holes also bring in fresh air. The rear of the case has nothing fancy back here: just four expansion slots, intake holes and the motherboard I/O panel. Inside:
Getting inside the Antec Fusion is as simple as removing one thumbscrew from the back and sliding off the top panel. Once the panel is off, you will notice that the inside of the case is divided into three sections. The front section houses a maximum of two hard drives. To keep the metal-to-metal hard drive vibrations to a minimum, silicon rubber mounts are used.
The second section serves a dual role as the location for both the optical drive and 430W included power supply. The optical drive installs into a removable cage.
