F.R.A.P.S was used to benchmark the the frame rate of the games

Overclocking:

The uGURU Windows-based software utility was extremely easy to use, and just every option in the BIOS could be adjusted through the Windows-based utility. I kept the RAM separate from the CPU during the overclocking process, and was able to get the E6850 to 4.2GHz STABLE while on air cooling. I know this board and processor can be pushed even further with some additional tweaking.

Conclusion:

The Abit IP35 Pro is one of the nicest motherboards that I have reviewed to date. With so many features, it's hard to find a place to start. First, the overall layout is very easy to work with, and I didn't have any real issues with any of the cables or components. The heatpipe cooler for the chipset worked extremely well, as I didn't notice any significant heat on any of the heatsinks.

Overclocking was a dream to do with the uGURU software. Any change made was tested before being applied to the system, which eliminated a lot of system crashes. If the system did crash and the BIOS needed to be reset, a simple switch on the rear I/O panel gets cycled and the BIOS is reset to the factory default. This is perfect for completed systems already in a enclosure: no need to open up the case and fumble with a jumper. For users who have the motherboard outside of a case or the side panel off, there are surface mount power and reset switches sitting next to the front panel header connection. Another neat little feature is the dual 7-segment LED display for the onboard POST Code Display for the BIOS. All of this equals a nice rounded out feature rich product.

They should call the IP35 Pro Off the Charts and not Off Limits. By all means, if you can afford to get one of these, then do so. The uGURU overclocking software was extremely user friendly, with plenty of voltage adjustments to suit anybody's needs. I would like to thank Abit for sending this item out for VH to review.
