More Details: Along the bottom of the edge of the board are two USB2.0 headers and one IEEE header. These, along with the front panel header, use the ASUS Q-Connector system, allowing for fast, accurate connections of the plugs. Moving on up the left side there are three PCI Express slots, two blue and one white. The blue slots are x16 and the white is x8. Two PCI and one PCI-E x1 slots are also present. The NVIDIA Dual x16 SLI chipsets (C55/MCP55P) supports the NVIDIA Scalable Link Interface (SLI™) technology, allowing two graphics processing units (GPUs) in a single system. It's designed for enthusiast gamers, and has extreme overclocking capability and ultimate gaming performance with SLI technology support. It's definitely one of the fastest platforms in the world. Just in front of the PCI slots is a VIA VT6308 Chip. The VIA Fire IIM VT6308P/S is a single-chip, low power 2-port IEEE 1394 host controller providing PC systems with high speed and flexible connectivity to a wide range of peripherals and consumer electronics. Supporting the latest high speed IEEE 1394a standards, the VIA VT6308P/S can detect connected device types and automatically configure data speeds to 100, 200, or 400 Mbps, transmitting both asynchronous and isochronous (real-time) data packets. Also up front are two Marvell 88E1116 chips which control the dual LAN ports. The integrated dual Gigabit LAN design allows a PC to serve as a network gateway for managing traffic between two separate networks. This capability ensures rapid transfer of data from WAN to LAN without any added arbitration or latency. Just above the PCI slots is another slot designed for the supplied audio card. The SupremeFX audio card is designed to provide you the best game sound experience. With 24bit/192kHz full sampling in all surround channels, no matter if you're hearing your game through headphones or 7.1 surround speakers, it should deliver the effects loud and clear. Another feature is the DTS Connect. This feature consists of two elements: DTS interactive and DTS NEO:PC. DTS interactive re-encodes your stereo or multi-channel sound into a DTS audio signal and sends it out from your PC to any DTS enabled system, while DTS NEO:PC turns your stereo audio, such as MP3, WMA, CD, and other sound format, into a convincing, multi-channel audio experience. Lastly is the rear panel I/O section on the P5N32-E SLI Plus. Unlike other motherboards, this I/O panel is rather bare. On the back side are the standard PS/2 ports, dual SPDIF (one optical, one coaxial,) IEEE port, four USB 2.0 ports, and Dual RJ45 Gigabit LAN ports.
