A Closer Look: Getting a close look at the M2N32-SLI Deluxe, you can see that ASUS has taken its new chipset cooling heatpipes to a new level with this application. ASUS has implemented an all out assault on chipset heat by cooling not only both the southbridge and northbridge chipsets, but also completely covering the 8-phase power design and capacitors in between. Impressive to say the least and of course, the M2N32-SLI is completely silent. You can also tell by the extravagant heatpipe cooling that the NVIDIA chipsets do not run as cool as the ATI chipsets. The bottom of the board looks like it's from another planet and not from the same sexy board on it's other side. It's garnished in an odd turquoise that almost feels tacky to the touch and actually looks like it's unfinished. Here you will find ASUS` patent pending stack cool 2 which is basically a certain routing of the circuits in the PCB to lower it's heat dissipation and increasing stability. In this section you can see the wireless card attached to the motherboard and ready to go. It worked flawless right from first boot up after installing the driver CD that comes with the M2N32-SLI. The lonely SATA RAID II port is located at the opposite corner of the board, up behind the I/O connections. Why? I think they ran out of room on the board and fit it where they could. I don't use it personally, so it doesn't matter to me. Six SATA II ports that are rated for 3.0Gb/s (wouldn't that be nice). The extra USB connections are nicely color coded and believe me, this way is allot nicer than the old way with just pins and some RTFM on connecting it. Lastly here, note the auxiliary 12v 4-pin connection. It's very close to the first PCI-e slot. Although it doesn't interfere with the card itself, it certainly makes it a bit uncomfortable to insert and remove should you have cards installed. The wireless card is also placed to the other side of it. So graphics card on one side, and wireless card on the other...its buried in there.
