Testing: All the graphics tests were
performed at a 1680 x 1050 using the highest application settings. The driver
options were set to High Quality and Use Application Settings all enabled.
The ASUS EN9800GTX was tested at stock and overclocked settings. The system was
tested at stock and overclocked settings as well for a little fun.
The 9800 GTX is a quiet strong performer, overall passing all of the cards as well as the overclocked 8800 series by a noticeable margin. At 1680 x 1050, the cards take a decent beating, but produce very playable frame rates including the Radeon HD 3870. While the test system is the latest sporting Penryn processors, you can see that it doesn't take a great deal of money to enjoy some newer games. You can easily save some money by buying an E6750 or E8400 and use that money on a faster, more capable graphics card like the 9800 GTX. << Testing | Temps & Conclusion >>
