To mark out the correct size of the Plexi, follow this procedure. First, lay your uncut Plexi on a flat surface. Next, lay the case window on top of the Plexi, making sure you give allowance for the Plexi sides. Take the washer included with the kit and place it against the case window edge.

Take a sharp pencil, place it in the inner hole of the washer and start to moving the washer along the case window edge. This will result in a straight line being drawn on the Plexi, giving you the exact Plexi size to cut to fit the moldings. Continue to draw that line until the whole window shape is traced onto the Plexi. There, you're done! That was simple, wasn't it? If your window has rounded corners, it'll be even easier! Now you just need to cut your Plexi along that line you have just drawn!

Smart idea, ain't it?

See the line?

Rounded corners? No problem!

The next thing to do is to mount the molding onto your case window first. Remember to use the smaller groove for the case window as the thickness of your case panels is lesser than your Plexi. Once you have that done, lay it on a flat surface and place your cut Plexi onto it. You might have some difficulties at first trying to get your Plexi into the other groove, but you can use a flat head screwdriver to peel the groove open a little to facilitate with the mounting.

Almost done here!...

Use this method...it helps!

Once you have the Plexi into the groove, it's time to secure the moding with the locking strips. The locking strips is just a long piece of rubber strip for the middle groove on the molding. Placing the locking strips there will cause the other 2 grooves to expand and lock tight onto the case panel and Plexi, ensuring a tight fit. To make the strip installation easier, hold on to one end of the strip and pull the other end. The strip will stretch and will be much easier to insert into the groove.

Use the locking strips to secure the window....

Continue to work your way around the window and in no time, you'll have a professional looking window mod! It looks almost the same with my previous method of mounting, but it's much more secure. Although it's a little more work, it was worth it! Trust me!

If you've always wanted to mount your Plexi window in this manner but wondered where to get the rubber moldings, look no further! Head on down to PCMods.Com today and get yerself some window kit luvin'!

Very nice!
