I wet sanded and hand rubbed the paint to get it mirror-like to start with. I used aluminum perforated sheeting to make a series of changes on the inside. I removed the HDD cage and made a tube going through the center to direct the air flow into the case better. And I hid all the wiring, drives, etc behind a piece that I formed to create a fake wall in the front and it wraps into the case and meets at the back. I spent 6 hours on cable management even though you'll never see it, at least I feel better. The wire management is evident if you look at the picture of the insides. I tucked all wires and connectors behind the mobo so it looks as if nothings plugged in. This is critical for a super clean look and helps air flow since there is no water cooling.
The biggest attraction on this mod is the gel ant farm on the side panel. I used acrylic sheeting and square bar to create a double-pane window. THen I dressed it up to match the look of the case by painting a black band around the perimeter of the front portion. Then I used the perforated aluminum to make an edge band that goes around the outer edge of the window. By using blue cold cathodes I made the gel glow so that the ant tunnels show through creating a 3-D affect.
This took me about 3 weeks and is the first computer I've ever built. I am/was a first time modder and now I can't wait to do something else. I still plan on upgrading a few things on the hardware with this one but other than that, it's done.

| Case Number : 1271 Name/Nick : scndk Country : Denmark Case Brand/Model : Aqua PC Quote : "This is my second attempt to build a computer
that works when it is submerged into an
aquarium.
The motherboard has been striped for alle
unnecessary things such as I/O ports, PCI, ISA
and AMR slots.
Passive cooling has been improved by adding
larger heat sinks and adding heat sinks to the
memory on the graphics card and the standard
memory module.
The hardware is then sealed with epoxy and
lacquer.
The hardware is then placed in an aquarium (not
the power supply unit)
When the computer was on, water and fish were
added.
As expected the computer did not run perfectly
for many hours.

I cut a 4.5" hole in the bezel with a hole saw, this is ducted to 2x 120mm cooling fans (stacked). 1x NMB-MAT 120mm fan and Titto Tek Chain Blue LED 120mm Fan. I then epoxied a plastic 4.5" fan duct before applying Evercoat fiberglass autobody filler around the duct. After it cured, I painted the bezel and case panels with Plastikote "Engine Enamel" Orange. I applied a 1-3.4" prop spinner over the NMB-MAT fan to create a turbine-looking engine. It really does look like an ultra cool turbine fan. The 5.25 fan controller is by Mitron. It also has a vandal resistant power switch. | Case Number : 1266 Name/Nick : b0b E-mail : carbon-fever@web.de Country : DE Case Brand/Model : carbon-fever Quote : "On this project i had simple keynote: lookin extremly splendid without loosing usability.
After the design was finished i started with creating the molds for the cf and did all fibre related work.
The next step was to clean the interior with polystyrenesheets and design a new hdd-cage.
The case itself got turned upside down to get an inverted ATX case. Drives and powersupply are installed at the bottom of the case. An aux-psu and some relaycards found there place also down there, mounted on a tray for easy access.
Step 3 included mounting the cf-elements to wooden structures. The casing is divided in a top and a front section, both can be unmounted without tools. The 2 lower rips on the front are permanently attached to the electronicstray.
Wiring everything up ( including 200 smd-ledīs ), building the sidepanels and give everything a final painting was part of the last step. The sidepanels are an important part of the lightdesign. The clear styrene sheet between the woodsheets can be, like most of the lighted parts, changed from red to white lighting. The coloured parts pronounce the dynamic outlines of the case.
Another innovative part of the case is the remote control ( small box on the pictures) standing on the desk. It containes most of the switches and buttons to keep the case itself clean.
For further details please have a look at my worklog on bit-tech." Homepage : N/A Date Submitted : May 21st, 2007 Link to this case : http://www.coolcasegallery.net/ccg/viewcase.php?cid=01499

Everything needed is fitted to the stroller/cart, like the keyboard, mouse pad, wireless router, infrared remote, and etcetera. It also has a power converter strapped to the stroller/cart so that it may run on a standard car battery, enabling usage anywhere suitable. It is not aesthetically pleasing or a space saver, but it runs efficiently and I get good mileage on it. :D" Homepage : N/A Date Submitted : May 1st, 2007 Link to this case : http://www.coolcasegallery.net/ccg/viewcase.php?cid=01498
