Day 2: (Cont`d) Leaving the case room you will enter the modding area. Basically this is where Hank does all the mods to the cases, for example, putting a side window on a Lian-Li which I will show you later. He has various tools around the workbenches to get the tasks done. The 1st room contains a work bench and some storage on the other side. The 2nd room involves another work bench with a pc test setup right across from it.
Finally we have made it to the warehouse! Well this is where most of the goods are stored, when they fill an order usually this is the first place they go to do so. Notice again the organization of the warehouse, bins are labeled and isles are nicely organized. This room suffered some hurricane damage last summer but it is as good as new now. Amazingly not one product was damaged, the building took the hit and protected all the precious modding supplies. Also in this room is the painting room where Hank does custom paint jobs. Whew the tour is over, now time to meet the staff.
When Hank first told me his staff was not that big, I was curious to how he got so many orders out the door with a small staff. I soon found out that they work very well together which may explain how they can do so much with 7 people and 3 of them are part time. Hank is in the back most of the day filling orders and doing custom work for customers while the others do the sleeving orders. You may think, why so many sleevers? They need them, the sleevers are constantly busy sleeving something. Sleeving is a popular item at Performance-Pcs because most of the time they offer sleeving on anything with wires, sometimes it's free! Now it's modding time.
