Introduction Performance-PC's has made a name for itself in the market with it's high quality, sleeved power supplies. Ript took a look at their first samples back in November 2002. Since then, Performance-Pc's has grown into a full blown mod shop for even the strictest of geeks to appreciate. Their variety of custom products and high quality customer service have made them a shop to be reckoned with in the market. Constantly driven to offer new and exciting products is what keeps them fresh and also helps to keep your box individual to your own styles. No mass produced clones here, just the way I like it! Works Power 450Watts "Reactor" Details Today I'm going to be giving you a look at two power supplies from Performance-Pc's. The first of which will be the Works Power Reactor 450 Watt PSU. The second will be the exact same power supply, only Modular.... the Works Power Modular 450 Watt PSU. Both power supplies are Black bodied with bright blue dual fans ( non-led ), sleeved in the highest quality, and are also adorned with color matched molex connections! Let's take a closer look at the conventional power supply first..... The Works Power supply is designed with two goals in mind: Maximum Performance via Stable Outputs, and the Lowest Possible Noise. If you need a reliable power supply for a brand new system, a replacement, or an upgrade, look no further than a quality Works power supply. This new power supply puts out 450 Watts and comes in a black casing. It also includes 2 unique blue colored 80mm fans for cooling. This new powerhouse will increase your system performance and reduce noise all at an affordable price. This is the best bang for the buck power we now carry! Features
As you can see, the "Reactor" is very pleasant to the eyes and extremely well built and thought out. The sleeving is EXCEPTIONAL and the inclusion of the "Easy-Grip UV Blue Molex Connectors" shows they went all out to make this a great value on a 450watt PSU. ($99USD retail as of 9/13/04) You can check out all the specs on the product page over at Performance-Pc's by clicking here. Now, with the mass saturation of fancy lighted power supplies on the market, you may be wondering if this power supply "lights up" in any way....it doesn't. That may be a drawback for some of you out there looking for that added glow from your power supply. However, there IS still a market of folks out there that DO NOT want a lighted power supply. If you fit into this category, then you should take a long hard look at this unit. It's very high quality, quiet operation, and dazzling good black and blue looks. However, besides the lack of "light", this power supply is old school in one other way.....it's not modular. "What is modular?" you ask? Well, allow me to enlighten you a bit. First take a good look at the pictures above, then proceed!
