New Mods to My AOpen HX08!

Well folks, this is what happen when you don't have tickets to go see the National Day Parade! Heheh! So, I spent the whole day dismantling my beloved VH1, as I affectionately calls it, and totally mutilated it again! It seems to like it when I bring the Dremel to it! OK...enough talk, let's see some pics OK?

Here's the frontal shot of the case. I added one more 120mm blowhole at the front. Looks like a bad-ass sub-woofer now, doesn't it? :O) I did away with the 2 X 92mm side blowholes for the window. I think the extra 120mm fan will do the job pretty fine. You can also see 3 Senfu LCD Temperature Probes at the front. Where's the HDD Cooler? Gone! My 2 IBM HDDs is now above the PSU. The close up shows you the dually 120mm fan action in the front!

Here's the rear view of the case. You can see that I cut away the stock punch-out grill at the top rear of the case. When are these manufacturers gonna realise that these punch outs just don't cut it? Anyway, slapped on 2 X 80mm Sunons for the HDDs cooling. I also added 2 X 60mm Sunons to the mobo tray to exhaust the heat from the CPU. If you think it's not possible to do that, I've done it! There's a considerable amount of space in that area for the dually 60mm setup. Take a look at the close up of the rear of the case!

This is the plexi window that replaced the 2 X 92mm fans at the side. Haven't put my neons in place yet. Maybe later! Nice ain't it? Those are my SCSI cables for the CD-ROM and CD Burner Drives.

What's it's like inside you ask. Well, here's more pics for ya! Here is the full view of the inside of the case! Very messy! Especially the top part!

Pics of the lower half of the case. Nice and tidy. At least to my standards!

Now here's the messy top half! But with 3 fans in the area, it's gonna keep those drives cool! I hope!

Well, that's it folks! A little bit of work left to be done, but I am one happy camper to say the least! Take care peeps! And wear your safety glasses when modding! LOL!
