Introduction:

Computex 2008, Taipei, Taiwan

One of the biggest shows in the technology community each year is Computex. It's located in Taipei, Taiwan and gathers thousands of the world's biggest and best vendors to showcase their goods on the world stage. Computex shows of years past have been located in one main grouping of buildings located very close to each other and to the world famous Taipei 101 skyscraper. However this year Computex opened a brand new building to house a portion of the show. The good is that the new building is more spacious and modern. The bad part is that it's located miles away from the old venue area. That really shook things up and made it a bit more tedious to cover the entire event.

This is the first year that VH has visited the spectacle that is Computex and I must say it was an incredible experience, not withstanding the massive 19 hour flight total it took me to get there from my location in the USA! I spent a week overseas not just visiting Computex, but also visiting a couple of ECS's manufacturing facilities in China. I just got back yesterday and I'm still trying to recover from all that traveling in one weeks time.

There was so many vendors at Computex, it was mind-numbing. It is virtually impossible to cover all the vendors so I did what anyone would do; just hit the vendors that I recognized. Even still, it was quite a task, and seeing how I was on a very limited budget of time, I had to keep moving. I really only had about 2 days at the show out of the 5 days total the show would run. I shot pics each day until both my camera batteries went on strike until I charged them. I have so many pictures, you won't find much detail here, just some small captions where I see fit or what I can remember of it, heh.

So, let's get on with the pics!

ECS ELITEGROUP:

ECS Elitegroup was the first booth I actually stopped at and looked around. They had a great booth setup showcasing tons of products I didn't even know ECS made. They are a much larger company than even I realized and it was a pleasant surprise to see them going very strong. They have lots of great products coming out soon, including new black edition enthusiast boards!
