Intel
Intel debuted three of their Core 2 Quad processor lineup for desktop users. A lot of the current programs and applications for the desktop user won't completely use the potential of the Quad Cores. However, Intel in turn said they are very, very actively working with software and program vendors to hasten support for the Core 2 Quad series. This also applies to the commercial and server market who now have the new Xeon 3200 series processors starting off at 2.13GHz and 2.4Ghz with a 1066MHz Front Side Bus and utilizing 8MB cache. There are already other Core 2 Quad processors in circulation for the server market that have been said to perform extremely well over earlier Xeon processors. Even the laptop users have something to look forward to as the Q6600 Quad 2.4GHz arrives in full force.
